Last night our writers group met to critique each other's work. There are about ten people total and on average about eight of us meet every other week. The writing, for the most part, is damn good and the critiquing even better. I brought 'Mary' with me, a story about a mentally ill and developmentally disabled woman locked in a state hospital for years who eventually dies there. The story revolves around her relationship with the narrator. I was pleased with the criticism and maybe 'Mary' will eventually find her way into publication. I've been feeling very good these past few days in spite of the hour. Al is improving a little each day and I am confident that by the weekend he will be his old self again. This weekend I'm taking myself to the zoo along with my camera. I'm working a sideline of photography and hope eventually to sell my pictures to card companies. I'm taking a ldigital photography class next month and with any luck make millions on my pictures.
