Today is my Father's Birthday. He passed away 6 years ago. I miss him so. He taught me so much. He believed in miracles. He is proof that they really do happen. He showed me many miracles. He was a simple man. A good man. A real man. Because of him, I believe in miracles. They are real and they really happen. I am enjoying the simple things in life today. With a cup of coffee I look out across the world and smile a peaceful smile. I say "Thank you for showing me miracles" to my Dad, and until we are together again, I say, "Happy Birthday!" Life itself is a miracle. I hope this for whoever reads this: "May you discover your miracle today and... have yourself a simply real and peaceful day!"

Today it was tough getting up for class. It's hard to get up a 6th day in a row before 7am. Mom, Dad, Kim, Martha and John met me for lunch afterwards. That was great to see them all. I came home and put down pine straw afterwards. It was good to work in the yard some. I can't wait till it gets warm enough to do more outside.

I was a bum and didn't go to church even though I was at my parent's house. I can't say why really. We all went to lunch at the Holiday Inn Restaurant. It really is pretty good. It was good to eat with everyone. Nookie, Mae, Jimmy, mom and dad, Doug, Brenda, Tammy, Tara, Tommy and Alex were there. I came home pretty early and went for a walk. It wasn't very cold and it was nice to get out.

Went to Morganton today. Went to Christmas Musical with mom and Aunt Mae at Comma. Was pretty good. It's put on by one of the local churches. All the music helps get me into the mood for Christmas. We also grilled steaks at mom and dad's house. Good stuff. Then we went to Tammy's house for apple pie and ice cream. Sounds like a good day huh?
